In 2008 the Fuzztones' mastermind Rudi Protrudi listened to the "LONG BLACK HAIR" album and became a fan. At the time, following the success of the Fuzztones' first Tribute Album "ILLEGITIMATE SPAWN", Rudi was in the process of gathering new material for a sequel.

When he met Tommy Ramöne at his favourite Absinth store in Berlin, he approached him for a Ham Ram contribution to what was to become a double CD "ILLIGITIMATE SPAWN, VOL. 2". Tommy immediately suggested to transform the song "LONG BLACK HAIR", originally written for Joey Ramone, into a special Fuzztones Version with new Lyrics referring to Rudi's almost identical hairdo.
With new vocals and a new mix this special Fuzzy Version of "LONG BLACK HAIR" is an outstanding contribution to the "SPAWN 2" Album. The Album features Ian Astbury and Gonn as well as 40 other Bands with dedicated tributes to the eternal Men in Black. The CD also contains a very nice & extensive Booklet, fondly designed by Rudi Protrudi himself. Worth checking!
